ANCONA GUIDED TOUR
Ancona is a thousand-year-old city overlooking the Adriatic Sea, founded by the Dorian Greeks under the name Ankon. It is a provincial capital rich in history, art, and extraordinary monuments that reflect its past as an ancient maritime republic and a vital trading hub in the Mediterranean. Around the port stand some of its most significant landmarks: the Arch of Trajan, the Clementine Arch, and the monumental Mole Vanvitelliana—designed by Luigi Vanvitelli, which now houses the Homer State Tactile Museum. Perched on Guasco Hill, the Cathedral of San Ciriaco is a stunning example of Romanesque-Byzantine architecture overlooking the sea. The walk continues through the historic center’s alleys, squares, and key cultural institutions such as the National Archaeological Museum of the Marches and the “Francesco Podesti” Civic Art Gallery, leading all the way to the Passetto district with its imposing World War I War Memorial and the famous grand staircase descending to the sea.

Mount Conero Regional Park
The Conero Regional Park offers an extraordinary landscape, alternating limestone cliffs—where dense Mediterranean scrub drops sheer into the Adriatic Sea—with hidden coves and gentle cultivated rural hills. During our tours, we will discover the gems of the Riviera: Sirolo, the “Pearl of the Conero”; Numana, an ancient seafaring town housing the testimonies of the Picene civilization in its State Antiquarium; and Portonovo, featuring the evocative Church of Santa Maria di Portonovo, a masterpiece of Romanesque architecture alongside the Abbey of San Pietro al Conero. The park is also a vital reference point for bird migration routes, wildlife and plant observation, and traces of local fauna.
